Congratulations to Glenn Funfer who placed 3rd in the Area International Contest!

Club Leadership Contest

From Oct 21, 2008 now until the end of May 2008 we will be holding a Leadership Contest. For every item you complete in your Competent Leader Manual, you will receive a point. Whoever has the most points by the end of May will receive a prize!

Details:

·    An “item” is any part of a project. For instance, if you are evaluated as the Toastmaster for a project, you will receive one point. If you are evaluated the following week as the Grammarian for the same project, you will receive an additional point.  Ultimately, if the project requires you to fill three roles, you will have received three points when the project is complete

·    To receive credit for an item, you must email Deborah ( VP of Education) or tell her at the meeting so that she can record it. She will just need the project number and the role.

  • Any leadership items completed before today will not count.
  • Every member in good standing is eligible

For those of you who haven’t considered looking at your leadership manual, it’s very easy – majority of the requirements involve the roles we do every week – evaluating, being toastmaster, timer etc. You do not have to do the projects in order.  Feel free to request roles so that you can complete projects more easily. All you need to do is ask somebody at the meeting (preferably somebody who doesn’t have a major role) to fill in your evaluation.  Don’t be shy !!!
